SolarMed 2010 is not the first exhibition and conference on solar energy. But it is the first event of its kind focused on the rapid development of solar energy in countries bordering the Mediterranean. The new Mediterranean Solar Plan gives a major boost to this development, especially in the countries of southern Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. The primary aim of SolarMed 2010 is to be a meeting place for players involved in this great adventure. This event represents an extension of the efforts that resulted in the creation of the Union for the Mediterranean and then the adoption of Mediterranean Solar Plan in 2008. |
