Sonnenkraftwerk Andasol 1 in Spanien mit 200.000 Parabolspiegel Zusammen mit dem Wirtschaftsminister von Andalusien, Francisco Vallejo Serrano, hat der Staatssekretär des Bundesumweltministeriums, Matthias Machnig, heute den Grundstein für das Sonnenkraftwerk Andasol 1 gelegt. Die Technik des 300-Millionen-Euro-Projekts, das mit Parabolrinnen arbeitet, kommt zum großen Teil aus Deutschland. Dazu gehören die Solarkollektoren und die Receiver, die mit Fördermitteln des Bundesumweltministeriums entwickelt wurden. Das Ministerium hat auch die Entwicklung des Wärmespeichers gefördert, der den Kraftwerksbetrieb rund 7,5 Stunden ohne Sonneneinstrahlung aufrecht erhalten kann. "Solarkraftwerke sind ein viel versprechender Weg, Strom aus Sonnenenergie im großen Maßstab, d. h. weltweit und kostengünstig zur Verfügung zu stellen. Der Bau dieses Kraftwerks ist auch ein Erfolg konsequenter und kontinuierlicher Technologieentwicklung", so Machnig. Bei dem Solarkraftwerk sollen 200.000 Parabolspiegel auf einer Grundfläche von fast 300 Fußballfeldern aufgebaut und kontinuierlich auf die Sonne ausgerichtet werden. Damit wird Andasol 1, das weltweit größte Kraftwerk seiner Art sein. Mit den Spiegeln wird die So-larstrahlung auf Receiverrohre konzentriert, die aneinander gereiht 100 km lang sind. Die darin produzierte Wärme wird zur Erzeugung von Dampf genutzt und über eine Dampfturbine in Strom umgewandelt. Das von der Solar Millennium AG, Erlangen, entwickelte und in Kooperation mit der spanischen ACS Cobra-Gruppe realisierte Projekt soll 200.000 Menschen mit Strom versorgen. Es bildet den Auftakt für zwei weitere Kraftwerke ähnlicher Bauart am gleichen Standort. Das Bundesumweltministerium unterstützt die Entwicklung solarthermischer Kraftwerke mit seiner Forschungsförderung für erneuerbare Energien.
